The WAC
Last year was about as good a year as the WAC can ever hope for. Everyone knows the story of little Boise State with their blue field ending the year upsetting Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl(even if it took every trick play and every lucky bounce to pull off the one-point victory) and finishing as the lone undefeated team. This year expect LOTS of offense and another undefeated team come the end of the year. Also look for Boise State to finally get knocked-off as conference champs. This year is the year of the Rainbow Warriors (I know they dropped the rainbow) in the WAC and also of their QB Colt Brennan. Look for them to roll through one of the easiest schedules in the nation on their way to an undefeated year and hopefully something other than the Hawaii Bowl. I don't think they will deserve a BCS game unless they truly annihilate people, but I do want to see them play someone with a pulse on the mainland. Ian Johnson will be in the Heisman race until BSU falls to Hawaii and Brennan which will get in the top 5 for the Heisman but won't bring home the hardware because of all his late night games that no one on the East Coast can watch and the fact that he's not on a BCS Championship competitor.
