The season just started, and we've already eliminated a team from the national title chase. Sorry, Michigan, but you're done. Of course, everyone knows UM lost to Appalachian State in the Big House in week 1, so no need to get into that.
Who impressed?
Oklahoma, the Big 3 of the Big East (UL, RU, WVU), Georgia, Boise State, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, and LSU. USC crushed Idaho and the game was never in doubt, but they just didn't look as impressive as they have in previous seasons. We'll really see how good USC is when they play Nebraska on the 15th.
Who looked bad?
Notre Dame got destroyed by GT
Texas squeaked by Arkansas State
Lloyd Carr and the entire Michigan team (except Mike Hart) losing to Appalachian State is just inexcusable
Lou Holtz (please bring back Trev Alberts, ESPN)
